Meet The team
All staff, including our support staff are aware of our procedures and parents and carers are welcome to read our policy. Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will always ensure that our concerns about our students are discussed with their parents/carers first, unless there is reason to believe that this is not in the child’s best interests.
- Mr Mark Fenlon (Vice Principal) is the school’s Senior Designated Safeguarding Lead with regard to Child Protection and Safeguarding.
- Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are: Mrs Rebecca Peel, Mrs Helen Pitt, Mr John Ross (Head of Camborne Sixth Form) and Miss Amy Brader (Nexus). Mr Mark Fenlon is our Designated Teacher for Children in Care. Staff, students and parents are to make contact with a Designated Safeguarding Lead, if there is any concern with regard to the safeguarding of children at Camborne Science and International Academy.
- The Governor with responsibility for safeguarding is Steve Webb.
- The Pastoral Team supports our students with meeting their wellbeing and welfare needs.

The security of your children’s data and our school systems is a vital part of our commitment to cyber security. We ask both students and parents to report any digital concerns immediately. If a student receives a suspicious email, encounters a link that seems unsafe, notices any strange account activity, or finds a system that appears compromised, please do not click anything or try to resolve the issue yourself. Your immediate report is the fastest and most crucial step in preventing a threat. Please report any suspected cybersecurity incident directly to the school's main number or ask your child to tell their teacher or the IT team.
