The Camborne Sixth Form supports students in securing their aspirations whatever that may be. Many of our students go to universities as far afield as Edinburgh, as prestigious as Oxford and Cambridge, and as near as Falmouth; some of our students secure apprenticeships locally with companies like Pendennis Shipyard, and further afield with organisations like Dyson; and some of our students enter the job market. Whatever they do, and wherever they go, we are here to offer continued support and to cheer on their achievements.

We continue to be inspired by Sam T who completed his studies in 2024. His dream was to work in the mining sector and took advantage of the work experience programme to secure a part-time job at Cornish Metal. He then successfully completed a rigorous application to secure a Degree Level Apprenticeship, delivered by Exeter University, so he is now working and studying at the Crofty Site in Pool.

Zach P completed his studies in 2023 and successfully applied to the much oversubscribed apprenticeship at Pendennis Shipyard. He continues to be an outstanding role model to the VI Form and lower school communities coming into school during Careers Fairs to promote ongoing education into the field of engineering. We are delighted to hear his enthusiastic description of the challenges and joys of working in such an exciting industry.

We are very proud of Marcus S who joined us in 2021 and completed his Level 3 courses in Geography, Media, and Uniformed Public Services. He was always very clear that his ‘dream big’ was to join the armed forces. We were delighted to be sent a photo of him passing out in his dress uniform and we look forward to his continued success.
