Students at Camborne Science & International Academy (CSIA) collected their A‑Level results earlier in the summer, marking another year of impressive achievements and exciting next steps for the school’s sixth form leavers. Seventy per cent of students achieved A*‑B grades, with 39 per cent securing either an A* or A grade. The academy’s specialist STEM provision, Cornwall School of Maths and Science, saw a remarkable 70 per cent of students achieve A*‑A grades.
One hundred per cent of students who applied for veterinary medicine courses achieved the necessary grades, with Alfie B and Amelia G both set to take up places at the Royal Veterinary College in London. Five students also secured offers from the universities of Cambridge or Oxford, with standout performances including Isla R, who achieved three A* grades and an A* in her Extended Project Qualification and will study French and German at Oxford University. Lily B is heading to Cambridge to study medicine after achieving two A* grades and an A, while other high achievers are progressing to top‑of‑their‑field degrees in Human Sciences, Engineering and Law.
In recognition of this success and future ambitions, the CSIA sixth form will be relaunched this September under a new identity as Camborne Sixth Form, with a fresh focus on ambition, community and global opportunities for learners. Principal Emma Haase said she was “incredibly proud” of the students’ results and excited about the next chapter for the sixth form as it continues to support outstanding outcomes and future pathways.
